Welcome back Young Professionals! Last week was a busy one – In addition to uploading several new articles and getting the blog’s social media platforms off the ground, I took several days off of work to attend an amazing family reunion at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Exciting rides, delicious food, and special time with family made this time feel like a true vacation. If you have been to Disney World yourself, I am certain that you can relate to what a unique experience it is to be there. If you have not yet had the opportunity to visit, I sincerely hope that you do!
For me, however, this trip to Disney felt, well, different. All of the magic was still there, don’t get me wrong, but visiting for the first time since graduating and beginning my professional career I found myself viewing this experience through a different lens than I had before. This time I felt something new – Inspiration!
From quotes on cups and signs to sheer awe at how Walt Disney’s simple dream was realized in extraordinary fashion, I found that my latest trip to Disney World opened my eyes to the true potential of our own ideas and goals. None of us would pretend that it is easy, but many of us also fall victim to the idea that it is too hard. Yet with ambition, innovation, collaboration, hard work, a little luck, and a dozen other crucial elements for success (yes, there are that many), it is hard to place a true limit on how high our own progress can soar.
The Young Professional is looking forward to publishing an article later this week on several inspiring Walt Disney quotes under our Career Development column. We hope you enjoy the read!
